Our critical care unit is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a staff of highly trained individuals that continuously monitor and care for your sick or injured pet. Specialized equipment is used to aid in intensive monitoring of vital signs and intravenous fluid rates.
YES! We encourage regular visits while they are in our CCW. Because pain management is a crucial facet of patient care, your pet may appear sedated when you visit, but your visit is still very important in your pet’s recovery. Please feel free to touch and handle your pet.
Visiting Hours are from 8am-9am, 12pm-1pm, and 5pm-6pm Monday-Friday. Saturday visiting hours are 8am-9am, 12pm-1pm, and 3pm-4pm. There are no visiting hours on Sunday, however, the doctor or nurse on duty will update you if there are any changes with your pet
Yes! Personal items such as stuffed toys or blankets are permitted, and the familiar smells will often help calm and reassure an anxious pet. Please label any such items with your pet’s name. Snacks, treats and special foods are permitted as long as the veterinarian has not placed your pet on a special diet.
A nurse or veterinarian will contact you daily with a report of your pet’s status. If any significant changes of your pet’s condition are observed, the veterinarian will contact you immediately.
