Scott Griffin, DVM Dr. Griffin graduated with honors from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing small animal medicine in Montgomery since 1989, where he has continued to develop a special appreciation for his role in enhancing the relationship between his patients and their families by providing complete care at all life stages. He has especially appreciated newer developments in allergy and arthritis management and continues to have special interest in ultrasonography and laparoscopic and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Griffin is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, Central Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and is the former Alabama representative for Christian Veterinary Missions. He has served on several local boards and is a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where he has been involved in their short-term missions and children’s Sunday school programs. Dr. Griffin and his wife Janice have two daughters, Rebecca and Jessica. Rounding out the family is an aging Shi Tzu named Henry and their latest addition Ginny, a vivacious Australian Shepherd puppy. When he’s not at the office, you can usually find him running, cycling, or at the coast, catching and cooking all manner of saltwater fish.
Holladay Strickland, DVM Dr. Holladay (Holli) Strickland is a 1995 graduate of the Auburn University College of Agriculture and a 1999 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation from veterinary school, she joined a small animal/exotic/zoo practice in Foley, Alabama, where she practiced for two years. The birth of her daughter, Peyton Grace, in 2000 brought her back home to her family and her roots in Lowndes County, Alabama. Dr. Strickland practiced at another Montgomery area veterinary facility for nine years prior to joining the staff at Carriage Hills and Vaughn Road in February 2010. She enjoys all areas of small animal practice, but her primary interests include challenging wound closure cases and emergency/trauma medicine. Dr. Strickland's hobbies include reading, hiking, training therapy dogs, and Great Dane rescue. Some people like to restore cars or houses, she loves to restore Great Danes! She is also an active volunteer with the Easter Seals Dogs on Call therapy dog program. Dr. Strickland is a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Braggs, Alabama, and also attends First Baptist Church in Montgomery. Dr. Strickland resides in Lowndesboro, AL, with her daughter, Peyton, her three Great Danes (Haus, Kramer and Memphis), two Golden Retrievers (Nikki and Samson), and the three kitties (Lexi, Boudreaux, and Stuey). Dr. Strickland is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association and the Central Alabama Veterinary Medical Association. |
